Description:

The model offers realistic tactile feedback and  imaging capabilities, featuring chest wall tissues,  intercostal spaces, pleural cavity, lungs,  diaphragm, and splenic recess. It allows for  simulated pleural effusion puncture, enabling  practitioners to draw fluid upon successful  procedures. A rapid refill port facilitates easy fluid  replenishment using an IV bag, and the model is  compatible with all brands of ultrasound  equipment.

Skills:

Participants develop skills in performing pleural  effusion punctures and fluid extraction using  ultrasound guidance. Training includes identifying  anatomical landmarks and understanding the  techniques for accurate needle insertion and fluid  management. The model enhances proficiency in  real-time procedural practice, fostering  confidence in ultrasound-guided thoracentesis.
