Description:

The model features a half-body  adult torso with realistic internal  structures, including the liver,  spleen, gallbladder, intestines,  and adjustable ascites volume. It  supports ultrasound-guided  abdominal paracentesis, allowing  for realistic fluid extraction and  medication infusion. Users can  visualize abdominal Anatomy on  any ultrasound equipment, and  the model holds up to 4000 ml of  simulated ascitic fluid for varied  training difficulty.

Skills:

Participants develop proficiency in  ultrasound identification of ascites and  performing abdominal paracentesis.  Training includes techniques for  drainage and medication  administration, with a focus on  detecting anatomical structures and  adjusting to varying ascites volumes.  The model allows for repeated practice,  enhancing confidence and competence  in ultrasound-guided procedures.
